High school students ages 14–18 who live in or attend school in Greenwich, CT, or surrounding areas are welcome to apply. We’re looking for motivated young people interested in EMS, healthcare, leadership, and community service.
We’re not a school club—we’re a student-run, student-led program with real-world EMS involvement. You’ll be part of a team that serves the community, builds professional skills, and creates friendships that last a lifetime.
Not at all. We provide all the training you’ll need—from basic first aid to more advanced EMS skills. Many of our members start with no medical background and grow into confident, capable leaders.
Yes! Once you’ve completed the required training and, if you choose, earned your EMT certification, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in ride-alongs with Greenwich EMS. You’ll work alongside trained professionals, responding to real emergency calls.
We meet regularly for training, community events, and ride-alongs. The time commitment depends on your level of involvement—members in leadership roles or who take on extra shifts will spend more time in the program.
No. Membership in the Post is completely free. If you decide to take the EMT certification class, there is a separate tuition fee for that course.
No—many members join for the leadership, community service, and learning opportunities. However, becoming an EMT opens the door to additional responsibilities and field experience.
Members receive hands-on training in basic first aid, CPR, and EMS operations, as well as opportunities for leadership and public speaking. EMT certification is available for those who want to take their skills to the next level.
Yes! Members can serve as Crew Chiefs or be elected to the Executive Board, helping to plan events, mentor peers, and represent the Post in the community.
